David G. Hawkins, Issues in Protecting Our Climate

GLT and Greenwich Conservation Commission invites you to join us for an informative evening program featuring David G. Hawkins, Director, Natural Resources Defense Council’s (NRDC), on climate change.

Old Greenwich resident David Hawkins has worked with Congress, the Executive Branch, and various business leaders to design policies that will reduce the emissions of global warming pollutants. An attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council and a lecturer at Yale Law School, Mr. Hawkins served as an Assistant Administrator of the U.S. EPA in the Carter Administration. He is recognized as an expert on climate policy, including carbon management systems. Mr. Hawkins is Director Emeritus on the boards of the Woods Hole Research Center, Resources for the Future, and the Center for Clean Air Policy. He has served on several other national committees including the Environmental and Energy Systems of the National Academy of Sciences, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Climate Change Science Program, and U.S. EPA Clean Air Act Advisory Committee.
