Blue Moon Hike

Once in a Blue Moon! On January 31, there will be a lunar eclipse that involves the second full moon of the month, popularly referred to as a Blue Moon. Such a skywatching event hasn’t happened for more than 150 years!
Come along on a medium-intensity moonlit hike through one of Greenwich Land Trust’s most beautiful properties, Lapham Preserve. We will end up in an open field for smores and telescope viewing of the moon on the eve of the full moon and lunar eclipse. Astronomer Rick Bria, of the Astronomical Society of Greenwich will be joining us to share his knowledge and answer questions. Flashlights and snacks provided.
